Enough Said....

So I havent made a post in a while, I guess I havent had much to talk about. I got writers block. But rest assured I am still alive.

I interviewed this guy today named Patrick he was from Burlington, Ontario and im pretty sure that Tom might end up being this guy, except this guy had a pony tail, which Tom may or may not end up growing years from now.

So I bring him into the office and chat with him a little while about what kind of work he wants. He has a masters degree in English and wants to work in anything that pays around 14/hour. He says that he would only like to 3 days per week and 7 months a year, but he would like it to be a permanent job. This guy was really laid back and spoke really calmly and he had a beard, but you could tell it wasn't on purpose. It just kinda happened. He had a shirt and tie on, but it was really wrinkled and his pants were to short for his tall body.

Before he left he asked me if the pot of coffee was free for applicants, I said yes. He then sat in the lobby for 15 minutes dirnking at least 3 cups of coffee.

PS. The reason he wanted to work only 7 months was because he wanted to travel the rest of the time. Which is pretty cool. Also he worked on a cruise ship for a while, apparently you can make 2500 USD tax free in a month. Because most of your expenses are paid for. Thats a pretty good deal.

We are going to Vancouver/Victoria for the long weekend in February. Its going to be sweet.

We joined a gym the other day, a really nice one. Its 50 dollars a month, I dont know if that is expensive or what, but the gym is pretty kick ass and its close to the apartment.

When/if we come back to live in Ontario we will be ripped and rich.

Yesterday it was my co-worker's, who has the same position as me, last day. She now no longer works for Adecco and incidently is going to be working for the same company that Anna is now going to work for. So effective monday I am now filling job orders and recruting all on my own, for the time being. As of Jan. 2,2007 Anna will be working at Walton International as a Client Services Executive.

Not too much is new here right now, went to Banff last weekend with Shane and Julie( Annas cousin and his GF) and shes a photographer so she took some pretty cool pics which we are going to give to our parents as xmas gifts cause we are cheap. Last friday was my work xmas party and we went to this place called Shanks, which is like a chuckie cheese for adults and is pretty sweet. Oddly enough they play mostly indie rock music which is an added bonus. The place is huge and full of stuff like bowling lanes, pool tables, mini-golf course, car racing, virtual golf, buck hunter and they have a ton of big screen Tv's.

On Dec.22 we are flying to toronto, leaving Calgary at 12:30am, arriving in toronto at 6:30am. That probably is going to be not much fun, but it was cheaper that way.

Anna is in a job interview right now and if she gets the job our combined income will be between 90 000 and 100000 dollars per year, which would be pretty sweet.

So I will be back in Ottawa in 2 weeks and will be there until Jan.1. So just to let everyone know I cannot afford to buy anyone any xmas gifts this year. So got any ideas of stuff to do while I am back in town, drinking beers, go to Zaphods. Any new years plans?

I got a raise today, Calgary is awesome!

Last weekend Anna's cousin and his girlfriend moved to Calgary, so we have people we know that live here now which is pretty good. They stayed with us for a few days until they found there own place. They are now living like 5 minutes from our place on 16th avenue. I got one of them a job as a photographers assistant. She took photography in toronto and she now has her dream job in Calgary.

On the weekend we went to a tarot card reading where they read into our futures and stuff. It was a weird thing, and I really dont know if I am a believer or not. Some things seemed like they were directly about me, not just some stupid generality. She told me stuff like comming here was a good career choice and that the light of prosperity was shinning on my path. And she said something about how a large financial investment was made by a third party in order for me to move here and stuff, which is true because my parents had to fork some money out for me to move here.

She told Anna that a fair-haired girl would find out she is pregnant. I really hope that its not her, but if that happens I think will definetly be a believer.
